Empty Bowl Boerne

Looking for a meaningful way to give back locally while supporting the arts? Empty Bowls Hill Country is a powerful community event that brings neighbors together to help fight hunger right here in Kendall County.

This international movement uses handcrafted bowls created by local artists as a symbol of the empty bowls faced by individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. When you participate, you’re not just purchasing a bowl — you’re helping provide real support to those in need in our own community.

🗓 Saturday, February 21
⏰ 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
📍 First United Methodist Church Boerne – Family Life Center
205 James St, Boerne, TX

At the event, guests select from a collection of 300 one-of-a-kind, handcrafted bowls, each made by local artists and community members. With every bowl purchased, attendees receive a FREE to-go cup of soup, symbolizing the nourishment and care this event provides beyond the day itself.

To ensure more families can participate:

• 🟢 Limit of 4 bowls per person

Every dollar raised stays local and directly supports organizations serving some of our most vulnerable neighbors:

• Hill Country Family Services – Corner Cupboard
Supporting individuals and families in crisis across Kendall County with essential resources and food assistance.
• Kendall County Women's Shelter
Providing safe shelter, advocacy, and support services for survivors of domestic violence — including care for their pets.

🎟 General Admission

• $25 per bowl
• Bundle options available for 1–4 bowls

🥣 Souper Pass – $75 (Limited to 25 passes)
Includes:

• 1 handcrafted bowl

💛 Optional add-on available to help cover transaction fees and maximize your impact.

Empty Bowls is more than a fundraiser — it’s a reminder that hunger exists even in our own neighborhoods and that small, intentional acts can make a big difference. By choosing a bowl, sharing a meal, and supporting local nonprofits, you’re helping ensure that fewer bowls in Kendall County remain empty.

Whether you’re attending as a family, with friends, or on your own, this is a beautiful opportunity to combine art, community, and compassion.

👉 Register early — bowls are limited and this event is expected to sell out.
